Bringing laughter to hospitals, foundations, foster homes, among other spaces, is possible thanks to the support of citizens who join our actions in one or more of our volunteering modalities.

DOCTOR CLOWN

Provides well-being and happiness in various spaces, from the figure of the clinical clown and through the Laughter Therapy. Take time to train and strengthen your soft and social skills. So you will visit the children, the girls and the grandparents in hospitals, clinics and shelters.

Donate your time to support Doctora Clown events

EXPERT

From his knowledge and experience, he contributes to the processes and projects at the community, social and organizational levels.

ORGANIZER

Plan and execute activities, events and celebrations within your community, company, university, family or group of friends, in favor of the social work of Doctora Clown.

AMBASSADOR

The shirt is put on by the foundation to represent it and make it reach new spaces.

SOLIDARY

Transform your life giving love moments to babies, children, teenagers and seniors. But that’s not the end of it! We also attend humanitarian emergency situations and there we also count on you !!!

BE A DOCTOR CLOWN

It is the star category, being Doctor Clown is a commitment that you offer from your Being to reach the hospital with a unique character, willing to see, hear, feel, smell, talk and connect from the heart with the patient and their immediate needs.

Volunteering in this modality requires continuous work on your soft skills; This is achieved through training in performing arts, music, singing, Clown, improvisation, among others.

PROCESS TO BE A VOLUNTEER DOCTOR CLOWN

Training

– Intensive Workshop.

– School of Clown.

– Creation of the character and its history.

– Hospital asepsis talk.

– Accompaniment to two hospital therapies as an observer.

– Approval of the character’s wardrobe.

– Birth of the Clown.

– Assistance to the hospital.

Can anyone be part of Volunteering in Colombia?

R / All people over 16 can be part of volunteering, can donate their time and be part of this beautiful social work.

R / There are 6 different categories from where you can be part of volunteering to be a contribution in this social work, we invite you to meet them and tell us which one or what they are for you.

Does this program belong to Patch Adams?

The therapy we do is based on the Swiss model of the Theodora Foundation, something very similar to the program of Doctor Patch Adams (go to the article that we will write about Patch). Learn more about our history here.

In which regions are they present?

We are currently in Bogotá, Medellín, Villavicencio, Bucaramanga, Barrancabermeja and Pasto. Our biggest dream is to bring our Laughter Therapy program to all regions of Colombia. You can contribute

Just can I be part of a single mode of volunteering?

You can participate in the modalities you want and at the same time if your schedules and routines allow it.

How often can I sign up?
