THE GREAT NATIONAL COLLECTION “GIVE HAPPINESS A BOOS” SUCCESSFULLY ENDED

Last July 14th, 15th and 16th music, magic, art and joy took the streets of Bogotá, Medellín, Bucaramanga, Barrancabermeja and Villavicencio with the purpose of raising funds for Laugh Therapy, in the framework of the Great National Collection “Give Happiness a Boost”, organized by the Doctor Clown Foundation. More than 240 people, among volunteers and Doctor Clown, made part of this great party, in the 30 collection points arranged.Last July 14th, 15th and 16th music, magic, art and joy took the streets of Bogotá, Medellín, Bucaramanga, Barrancabermeja and Villavicencio with the purpose of raising funds for Laugh Therapy, in the framework of the Great National Collection “Give Happiness a Boost”, organized by the Doctor Clown Foundation. More than 240 people, among volunteers and Doctor Clown, made part of this great party, in the 30 collection points arranged.
In total 22 million Colombian pesos were collected, which will be invested in: 
• 110 Laughter Therapies for 10 thousand children, adolescents and elderly hospitalized, 15 thousand companions and medical staff from more than 80 health centers, located in five regions of Colombia. • The massive “Peace and Art” strategy that benefits more than 100 children from the village of Quiba Guabal, located in the rural area of Bogotá. • Scientific research on the effects of therapeutic humor on the surgical intervention of pediatric patients and oncological treatment • Project “Love Therapy”, life hugs for 200 abandoned babies to reduce neonatal withdrawal syndrome.
In this manner, the Doctor Clown Foundation thanks the participants and people who joined with its donation: “We saw the solidarity and gratitude of people on the street for what we do and on behalf of children, adolescents and elderly hospitalized people who benefit annually from our humanitarian work, we would like to thank you for opening the door for us and supporting us in finding sustainability alternatives for our four projects. Thank you for believing in us, in the Clown and in the power that laughter has for your welfare, that of patients and all Colombians,” says the Director of the Doctor Clown Foundation, Luz Adriana Neira.
Other achievements of this great party were: 
• With two months of preparation, Foundation volunteers, companies, shopping centers, government and social organizations joined the collection. • A total of 425 piggy banks were given to collect the money. • There were 25 trainings for the day with the volunteers. • Calima, Centro Mayor, Gran Estación and Portal 80 malls allowed the installation of a sales booth, with products by Doctor clown, during the days of the collection.• Media such as Diario ADN, El Tiempo, Llano 7 Días, Radiónica, Emisora Mariana, Diario Gente, la Emisora de la Universidad UniMinuto, City Tv, RCN Radio and Enlace Tv allowed their viewers to sensitize and participate in the activity. More than 55 national mass media also received the call to join this day. • Cine Colombia, played the official video clip “Give a boost to happiness” in 55 rooms of the country for a whole week.• On social media, the video got 559 views on YouTube, more than 53 thousand people were hit on Facebook and 4 thousand impressions were generated on Instagram. • Colombian personalities such as José Ordoñez, Germán Escallón, Rafael Zea and Aida Valencia also produced and published videos inviting to participate and donate in the National Collection.
